Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Christ as the Man of Sorrows by Giovanni di Paolo was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2015. It achieved a price of GBP 98,500.00 (€ 139,639.92), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 23%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni di Paolo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Saint Clare rescuing the shipwrecked in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 5,313,750.00 (€ 6,280,230.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Christ as the Man of Sorrows von Giovanni di Paolo kam im Juli 2015 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 98.500,00 (€ 139.639,92) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 23%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni di Paolo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Saint Clare rescuing the shipwrecked im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.313.750,00 (€ 6.280.230,58).
