Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Un homme étendu, pointant vers la gauche by Giuseppe Bottani was auctioned at Christies in Paris in December 2004, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 705.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Bottani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Incredulity Of Saint Thomas in January 2012 with an auction result of USD 46,875.00 (€ 35,911.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Un homme étendu, pointant vers la gauche von Giuseppe Bottani im Dezember 2004 bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 705,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Bottani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Incredulity Of Saint Thomas im Januar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 46.875,00 (€ 35.911,28).
