In June 2010 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Regards sur l'Orient: Orientalist Paintings and Sculptures - Islamic Art, which included the work Deux Orientales Dans Un Intérieur by Giuseppe Guidi. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,500.00 40% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Giuseppe Guidi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Pet Parakeet in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 21,250.00 (€ 14,687.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2010 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Regards sur l'Orient: Orientalist Paintings and Sculptures - Islamic Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Deux Orientales Dans Un Intérieur von Giuseppe Guidi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.500,00 und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giuseppe Guidi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Pet Parakeet im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 14.687,59).
