In October 2020 Christies in London held the auction Discovering Old Masters: The Legacy of Piero Corsini, which included the work Saint Andrew by Giuseppe Vermiglio. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,656.22) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Vermiglio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Christ before Pilate in May this year with an auction result of USD 478,800.00 (€ 449,408.67).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Discovering Old Masters: The Legacy of Piero Corsini durch, in der auch die Arbeit Saint Andrew von Giuseppe Vermiglio zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.656,22) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Vermiglio erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Christ before Pilate im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 478.800,00 (€ 449.408,67).
