Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Three rural winter scenes by Grand Duchess Olga was sold in the Russian Art auction at Christies in London in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,504.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Grand Duchess Olga - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Self-portrait with easel; Four landscapes; and Floral study, which sold at auction in June 2017 for GBP 56,250.00 (€ 64,058.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Three rural winter scenes von Grand Duchess Olga wurde im Juni 2016 in der Auktion Russian Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 16.504,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Grand Duchess Olga mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Self-portrait with easel; Four landscapes; and Floral study beobachtet, die im Juni 2017 für GBP 56.250,00 (€ 64.058,26) versteigert wurde.
