This artwork by Guan Liang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. In the Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Miao Girl With Red Head Cloth sold for HKD 900,000.00 (€ 98,607.10) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 450,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guan Liang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hardoon Garden (Xihu) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 1,200,000.00 (€ 1,225,434.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Guan Liang erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Miao Girl With Red Head Cloth für HKD 900.000,00 (€ 98.607,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 450.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guan Liang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hardoon Garden (Xihu) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.200.000,00 (€ 1.225.434,78).
