Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Guan Wei could be acquired at Bonhams in Sidney in June last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Sherman | Prints & Multiples auction, the work Trepidation Island No. 1, 2003 changed hands for AUD 492.00 (€ 469.96) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guan Wei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Playing With String in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 1,100,000.00 (€ 95,594.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Guan Wei konnte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Sidney für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Sherman | Prints & Multiples wechselte die Arbeit Trepidation Island No. 1, 2003 für AUD 492,00 (€ 469,96) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guan Wei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Playing With String im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.100.000,00 (€ 95.594,09).
