Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Flamenco dancers by Gudrun Sibbons for GBP 205.63 (€ 324.53). This price was achieved in the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gudrun Sibbons - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Unloading boats, which sold at auction in February 2005 for GBP 480.00 (€ 696.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Flamenco dancers von Gudrun Sibbons für GBP 205,63 (€ 324,53) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gudrun Sibbons mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Unloading boats beobachtet, die im Februar 2005 für GBP 480,00 (€ 696,06) versteigert wurde.
