This artwork by Guillaume Guillon-Lethière achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in January 2011. In the Important Old Master and 19th Century Paintings from the Collection of Jacob Elie Safra auction, the work The Judgement Of Paris sold for USD 722,500.00 (€ 526,795.48) - well above the upper estimate of USD 350,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Guillaume Guillon-Lethière; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Brutus Condemning His Sons sold at auction in April 2018 with the realized price of USD 852,500.00 (€ 706,062.61).
