Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kirmizi Yapraklar (Red Leaves) by Gulay Semercioglu was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2011. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,892.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gulay Semercioglu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Pink Thing, which sold at auction in April 2010 for GBP 31,250.00 (€ 35,962.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Kirmizi Yapraklar (Red Leaves) von Gulay Semercioglu kam im April 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.892,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gulay Semercioglu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Pink Thing beobachtet, die im April 2010 für GBP 31.250,00 (€ 35.962,64) versteigert wurde.
