This artwork by Gurcharan Singh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2007. In the Indian Art including Miniatures and Modern Paintings auction, the work without title sold for USD 14,400.00 (€ 10,767.16) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. This high result makes the work without title the most expensive artwork by Gurcharan Singh that we have observed at auctions so far.
