In October 2005 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Far Away Thoughts by Gustave-Adolphe Jundt. The »bidding war« ended at USD 26,400.00 (€ 22,009.17), 32% above the upper estimate. With this result, Far Away Thoughts is even the most expensive work of art by Gustave-Adolphe Jundt that we have observed at auctions so far.
