Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2020 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Magnificent Nudes: Iconic Photographs from Distinguished Private Collections, which included the work Femme Multiple (Unfolding Nude), 1972 by Guy Bourdin. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 8,125.00. Admittedly, works by Guy Bourdin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French Vogue, March 1972 in May 2017 with an auction result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 57,427.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Magnificent Nudes: Iconic Photographs from Distinguished Private Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Femme Multiple (Unfolding Nude), 1972 von Guy Bourdin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 8.125,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guy Bourdin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit French Vogue, March 1972 im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 57.427,02).
