A top price for Halliday Avray-Wilson
When the work Shot Torso by Halliday Avray-Wilson was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2012, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 1,500.00 but the actual price achieved was more than five times as high at GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,102.01). This high result makes Shot Torso the most expensive artwork by Halliday Avray-Wilson that we have observed at auctions so far.
