Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hamid El Kanbouhi could be acquired at Sothebys in London in October 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern & Contemporary African Art auction, the work Moroccan dans changed hands for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,946.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Other works by Hamid El Kanbouhi have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in August 2021 by the work Dans at GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,456.13).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hamid El Kanbouhi konnte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art wechselte die Arbeit Moroccan dans für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 3.946,92) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Hamid El Kanbouhi wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im August 2021 die Arbeit Dans mit GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.456,13).
