Auction result well in line with expectations

Rosenthal auction at Bonhams in New York in November last year. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hans Hofmann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Leise Zieht Durch Mein Gemüt Liebliches Geläute (Mellow Sound Of Bells Rings Gently Through My Mind), which sold at auction in November 2018 for USD 8,597,150.00 (€ 7,592,643.29).
