Auction result misses estimated price range
In December this year a collector was able to acquire the work The Battle of the Amazons by Hans Jordaens III for GBP 4,410.00 (€ 5,080.15). This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters Part II: Paintings, Sculpture, Drawings and Watercolours at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Hans Jordaens III have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Entry Into Noah'S Ark in June 2017 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 41,626.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Battle of the Amazons von Hans Jordaens III für GBP 4.410,00 (€ 5.080,15) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Masters Part II: Paintings, Sculpture, Drawings and Watercolours bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hans Jordaens III auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Entry Into Noah'S Ark im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 41.626,50).
