Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Noddy, Big-Ears And The Soldiers by Harmsen van der Beek was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 900.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 750.00 (€ 829.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harmsen van der Beek - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mr Plod walking away from Noddy and Big-Ears, which sold at auction in December 2005 for GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,264.25).

Die Arbeit Noddy, Big-Ears And The Soldiers von Harmsen van der Beek kam im Juni 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 750,00 (€ 829,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
