Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Harold Ancart was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. The price achieved of HKD 2,520,000.00 (€ 279,110.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harold Ancart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2021 for USD 1,018,500.00 (€ 835,246.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Harold Ancart kam im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 2.520.000,00 (€ 279.110,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Harold Ancart mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für USD 1.018.500,00 (€ 835.246,84) versteigert wurde.
