Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A winter landscape with peasants skating on a frozen river by a village with a windmill by Hendrik Willem Schweickhardt was sold in the Old Master Pictures auction at Christies in London in July 2004. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 11,352.50 (€ 17,156.13). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hendrik Willem Schweickhardt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Boeren Buijtenvreugt': a wedding dance in a village, which sold at auction in May 2002 for EUR 35,850.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A winter landscape with peasants skating on a frozen river by a village with a windmill von Hendrik Willem Schweickhardt wurde im Juli 2004 in der Auktion Old Master Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 11.352,50 (€ 17.156,13) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Hendrik Willem Schweickhardt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Boeren Buijtenvreugt': a wedding dance in a village beobachtet, die im Mai 2002 für EUR 35.850,00 versteigert wurde.
