Admittedly, works by Helen Allingham have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Beside The Old Church Gate Farm, Smarden, Kent in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 34,727.60).
