Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs Including Property Sold to Benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation, which included the work Marc Bohan Pour Dior, Vogue, Paris, March 1977 by Helmut Newton. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,178.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Helmut Newton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Big Nude III" (Variation), Paris in May last year with an auction result of USD 2,340,000.00 (€ 2,180,598.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs Including Property Sold to Benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation durch, in der auch die Arbeit Marc Bohan Pour Dior, Vogue, Paris, March 1977 von Helmut Newton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.178,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Helmut Newton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Big Nude III" (Variation), Paris im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.340.000,00 (€ 2.180.598,27).
