In November 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Fruit Seller by Hendra Gunawan. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 2,740,000.00 (€ 334,652.53), 37% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendra Gunawan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ali Sadikin Pada Masa Perang Kemerdekaan (Ali Sadikin During The Independence Struggle) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 33,240,000.00 (€ 3,744,983.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 37 % übertroffen
Im November 2015 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fruit Seller von Hendra Gunawan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 2.740.000,00 (€ 334.652,53) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendra Gunawan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ali Sadikin Pada Masa Perang Kemerdekaan (Ali Sadikin During The Independence Struggle) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 33.240.000,00 (€ 3.744.983,83).
