Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mother and Child by Hendra Gunawan was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2012. The price achieved of HKD 1,220,000.00 (€ 120,968.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,000,000.00 – 1,400,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendra Gunawan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ali Sadikin Pada Masa Perang Kemerdekaan (Ali Sadikin During The Independence Struggle) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 33,240,000.00 (€ 3,744,983.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mother and Child von Hendra Gunawan kam im November 2012 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.220.000,00 (€ 120.968,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.000.000,00 – 1.400.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendra Gunawan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ali Sadikin Pada Masa Perang Kemerdekaan (Ali Sadikin During The Independence Struggle) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 33.240.000,00 (€ 3.744.983,83).
