In July 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Fonthill Splendens including: Views of the Principal Front, from across the Lake near the Boathouse (with a second sheet extending the composition to the left); from the Hill across the Lake, showing the Landscaping and two Pavilions; and from the wo by Hendrik Frans de Cort for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,855.89). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours at Christies in London and was even below the e Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrik Frans de Cort achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View Of Chelsea Farm With The Thames And Battersea Bridge in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 83,650.00 (€ 120,330.07).
