Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Christian Persecutors At The Entrance To The Catacombs by Henri Ippolitovich Semiradsky was sold in the Russian Art Evening auction at Sothebys in London in November 2007. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 412,500.00 (€ 577,606.72), 18% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henri Ippolitovich Semiradsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Un Naufragé Mendiant, which sold at auction in November 2013 for GBP 1,082,500.00 (€ 1,302,643.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Christian Persecutors At The Entrance To The Catacombs von Henri Ippolitovich Semiradsky wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion Russian Art Evening bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 412.500,00 (€ 577.606,72) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Henri Ippolitovich Semiradsky mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Un Naufragé Mendiant beobachtet, die im November 2013 für GBP 1.082.500,00 (€ 1.302.643,87) versteigert wurde.
