Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Old friends by Henry Schouten was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in London in March 2009. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,347.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Schouten have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gundogs in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 6,462.50 (€ 9,996.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Old friends von Henry Schouten wurde im März 2009 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.347,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Schouten auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gundogs im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.462,50 (€ 9.996,02).
