In November 2013 Christies in Paris held the auction Agathe Gaillard et la photographie : Une pionnière à Paris, which included the work Le Fiancé, Vers 1980 by Herve Guibert. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,250.00 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Herve Guibert; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Autorportrait, New York, 1981 sold at auction in November 2013 with the realized price of EUR 3,000.00.

Im November 2013 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Agathe Gaillard et la photographie : Une pionnière à Paris durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Fiancé, Vers 1980 von Herve Guibert zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.250,00 und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Herve Guibert; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Autorportrait, New York, 1981 im November 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 3.000,00.
