A top price for Hieronymus van der Mij - as previously expected
In November 2000 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work Double portrait of a boy and a girl, small full-length, with a greyhound in a wooded landscape by Hieronymus van der Mij. The price achieved of GBP 29,375.00 (€ 48,012.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Double portrait of a boy and a girl, small full-length, with a greyhound in a wooded landscape is the most expensive artwork by Hieronymus van der Mij that we have observed at auctions so far.
