Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hiroshi Kado could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Asian Art Online auction, the work Five Paintings of Horses and figures changed hands for USD 446.25 (€ 423.51) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 600.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hiroshi Kado - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ten Contemporary Japanese Paintings, which sold at auction in April last year for USD 956.25 (€ 907.52).
