Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Lisa Fonssagrives with turban, New York, 1940 by Horst P. Horst was sold in the Fashion Photographs from the Susanne von Meiss collection auction at Christies in Paris in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 7,560.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Horst P. Horst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mainbocher Corset, Paris, 1939 in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 288,000.00 (€ 210,834.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Lisa Fonssagrives with turban, New York, 1940 von Horst P. Horst wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fashion Photographs from the Susanne von Meiss collection bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 7.560,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Horst P. Horst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mainbocher Corset, Paris, 1939 im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 288.000,00 (€ 210.834,55).
