Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work Don Quixode by Hsiung Ping-Ming. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 60,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 6,975.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hsiung Ping-Ming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Standing Horse (Executed From 1959 To 1966) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 1,320,000.00 (€ 1,347,978.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Don Quixode von Hsiung Ping-Ming zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 6.975,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hsiung Ping-Ming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Standing Horse (Executed From 1959 To 1966) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.320.000,00 (€ 1.347.978,26).
