Auction result well in line with expectations
In February this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Dawn of Spring – Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Viewing Cloud by Huang Qiuyuan. The price achieved of HKD 37,800.00 (€ 4,542.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Qiuyuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,888,000.00 (€ 207,796.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Dawn of Spring – Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Viewing Cloud von Huang Qiuyuan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.800,00 (€ 4.542,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Qiuyuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.888.000,00 (€ 207.796,70).
