Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Finnish Merimaisema Kuun Valossa (Seascape In Moonlight) by Hugo Simberg was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 21,875.00 (€ 25,669.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hugo Simberg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Seascape In Moonlight"., which sold at auction in May 2011 for EUR 66,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Finnish Merimaisema Kuun Valossa (Seascape In Moonlight) von Hugo Simberg kam im Juni 2009 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 21.875,00 (€ 25.669,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Hugo Simberg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Seascape In Moonlight". beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für EUR 66.000,00 versteigert wurde.
