This artwork by Huguette Caland achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2020. In the Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction, the work Darius sold for GBP 125,000.00 (€ 139,542.18) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 65,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Huguette Caland - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bribes de Corps (Body Parts), which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 250,000.00 (€ 289,982.07).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Huguette Caland erzielte im November 2020 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern Art wurde die Arbeit Darius für GBP 125.000,00 (€ 139.542,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 65.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Huguette Caland mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bribes de Corps (Body Parts) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 250.000,00 (€ 289.982,07) versteigert wurde.
