Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, which included this untitled work by Huguette Caland. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 11,386.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huguette Caland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bribes de Corps (Body Parts) in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 250,000.00 (€ 289,982.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Huguette Caland zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 11.386,64) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huguette Caland erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bribes de Corps (Body Parts) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 250.000,00 (€ 289.982,07).
