When the work Japanese bridge with wysteria by Huguette Clark was auctioned at Christies in New York in June 2014, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 3,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than five times as high at USD 16,250.00 (€ 11,869.98). Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Huguette Clark; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Scene from My Window- After the Snow Storm sold at auction in June 2014 with the realized price of USD 23,750.00 (€ 17,348.43).

Als die Arbeit Japanese bridge with wysteria von Huguette Clark im Juni 2014 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – USD 3.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit USD 16.250,00 (€ 11.869,98) mehr als fünfmal so hoch.
