Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Doors (Diptych) by Igor Kopystiansky was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,151.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Igor Kopystiansky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Interior #5 in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 31,200.00 (€ 44,805.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Doors (Diptych) von Igor Kopystiansky kam im Juni 2014 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.151,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Igor Kopystiansky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Interior #5 im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.200,00 (€ 44.805,25).
