Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Igor Mitoraj achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2014. In the Modern Art auction, the work Aedo sold for EUR 22,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Igor Mitoraj achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work For Hadrian in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 584,000.00 (€ 529,513.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Igor Mitoraj erzielte im Dezember 2014 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Art wurde die Arbeit Aedo für EUR 22.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Igor Mitoraj erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit For Hadrian im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 584.000,00 (€ 529.513,10).
