Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ilse Bing could be acquired at Christies in New York in December 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the MoMA: Women in Photography auction, the work Three dogs, 1956 changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,039.76) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ilse Bing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self Portrait with Leica, Paris in October 2012 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 38,586.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ilse Bing konnte im Dezember 2017 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion MoMA: Women in Photography wechselte die Arbeit Three dogs, 1956 für USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.039,76) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ilse Bing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Self Portrait with Leica, Paris im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 38.586,20).
