Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ilse Bing could be acquired at Phillips in London in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Leaves and Twigs, Paris changed hands for GBP 1,386.00 (€ 1,630.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ilse Bing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self Portrait with Leica, Paris in October 2012 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 38,586.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ilse Bing konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Leaves and Twigs, Paris für GBP 1.386,00 (€ 1.630,50) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ilse Bing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Self Portrait with Leica, Paris im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 38.586,20).
