A top price for Iran do Espírito Santo
When the work Buraco de fechadura (Keyhole) by Iran do Espírito Santo was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May 2016, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 18,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at USD 56,250.00 (€ 50,516.39). This high result makes Buraco de fechadura (Keyhole) the most expensive artwork by Iran do Espírito Santo that we have observed at auctions so far.

Als die Arbeit Buraco de fechadura (Keyhole) von Iran do Espírito Santo im Mai 2016 bei Phillips in New York versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches.
