The work Kami (Hair) by Ito Shinsui was auctioned at Christies in New York in March last year. It achieved a price of USD 10,080.00 (€ 9,086.81), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Admittedly, works by Ito Shinsui have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Taikyo (Before the mirror [Red geisha)|AID524033] in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 52,920.00 (€ 63,122.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Kami (Hair) von Ito Shinsui kam im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 10.080,00 (€ 9.086,81) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ito Shinsui auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Taikyo (Before the mirror [Red geisha)|AID524033] im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.920,00 (€ 63.122,46).
