Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Belgian on The Bosphorus by Jacob Jacobs was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2016. The price achieved of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 63,914.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob Jacobs - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Belgian the Arrival Of Sultan Abdülmecid At The Nusretiye Mosque, which sold at auction in April 2015 for GBP 112,500.00 (€ 154,488.44).

Die Arbeit Belgian on The Bosphorus von Jacob Jacobs kam im April 2016 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 63.914,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacob Jacobs mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Belgian the Arrival Of Sultan Abdülmecid At The Nusretiye Mosque beobachtet, die im April 2015 für GBP 112.500,00 (€ 154.488,44) versteigert wurde.
