Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work The brig Quay Side in three positions by Jacob Petersen of Copenhagen for GBP 1,410.00 (€ 1,964.48). This price was achieved in the auction Maritime at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Jacob Petersen of Copenhagen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A group of Danish cutters including the Camilla racing to windward in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 6,462.50 (€ 10,369.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2003 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The brig Quay Side in three positions von Jacob Petersen of Copenhagen für GBP 1.410,00 (€ 1.964,48) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Maritime bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob Petersen of Copenhagen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A group of Danish cutters including the Camilla racing to windward im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.462,50 (€ 10.369,93).
