Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait Of A Gentleman, Aged 55 by Jacob Willemsz. Delff II was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in June 2020. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 11,250.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob Willemsz. Delff II - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a gentleman, half-length, in a black slashed doublet and white lace collar; and Portrait of a lady, half-length, in a black dress and lace collar, which sold at auction in December 2020 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 30,719.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman, Aged 55 von Jacob Willemsz. Delff II kam im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 11.250,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacob Willemsz. Delff II mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman, half-length, in a black slashed doublet and white lace collar; and Portrait of a lady, half-length, in a black dress and lace collar beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 30.719,95) versteigert wurde.
