This artwork by Jacques d'Arthois achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2014. In the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction, the work An extensive wooded landscape, with the conversion of Saint Hubert in the foreground sold for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 47,299.29) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jacques d'Arthois; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A wooded landscape with figures and a dog on a path, with a river and a castle in the distance sold at auction in July 2014 with the realized price of GBP 58,750.00 (€ 74,102.22).
