Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jacques Henri Lartigue achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in an online auction in February this year. In the The Eye That Shapes: Further Selections from the Peter C. Bunnell Collection auction, the work Selected Images sold for USD 3,528.00 (€ 3,327.67) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Henri Lartigue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Automobile Delage, Grand Prix de l’Automobile-Club de France, Le Tréport, 26 juin 1912 in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 63,000.00 (€ 54,536.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jacques Henri Lartigue erzielte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Eye That Shapes: Further Selections from the Peter C. Bunnell Collection wurde die Arbeit Selected Images für USD 3.528,00 (€ 3.327,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Henri Lartigue erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Automobile Delage, Grand Prix de l’Automobile-Club de France, Le Tréport, 26 juin 1912 im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 54.536,01).
