Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2008 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Jagannath Panda. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,438.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jagannath Panda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 133,000.00 (€ 84,150.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jagannath Panda zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.438,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jagannath Panda erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 133.000,00 (€ 84.150,59).
