Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Bird, Tree and Mountain Series) by Jagdish Swaminathan was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2020. The price achieved of USD 68,750.00 (€ 58,670.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jagdish Swaminathan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Bird, Tree and Mountain Series) in September last year with an auction result of USD 819,000.00 (€ 837,166.51).
